Product Reviews! My take, for what it's worth, on various products and services S.T.A.L.K.E.R - Shadow of Chernobyl 4/5 Stars This game is awesome! It's Oblivian meets nuclear meltdown with Russians. Everyone loves Russians. Okay, maybe not Afghanistan, but you get the drift. I give it a 4/5 stars. The only draw back is that it released with some bugs and certain Nvidia cards have to use older drivers to get the thing to work right, thus the 4/5 instead of 5/5. Fortunately, the updates fix most of the problems and anything else can be fixed by running it in a window of all things. Norton 360 5/5 Stars What can I say? I hated Norton products till I saw an article in PC Magazine that said that they had finally gotten their act together. You know what? They were right. So I tried a free trial of Norton Internet Security 2006 and fond it much to my liking. So when I considered buying it, I heard about 360. It has all the goodies: Backup, disk optimization, drive cleaning, firewall, fraud protection, anti-virus, and a few more. I love it. The only thing is that Norton charges by he year, and you don't get free upgrades, but you definitely get your money's worth! Supreme Commander 5/5 Stars Supreme Commander is the leading edge of Real Time Strategy today. It incorporates all the features expected plus a whole lot more. It's got a strategic view good formoving lot's of forces at once and a tactical view good for small time attacks and defence. Plus the game puts YOU on the battle field in an Armored Command Unit (ACU). In this armor you can build, kill, and destroy...or sneak away and hide in the hopes that if you lose they can't find you. Hey, it works. Over all, I give this game a 5/5 Stars for performance, graphics, and fun. |
